How do I play Wordle with friends?
Tap Play as Guest (or sign in), create a room and share the invite link. Your friends open it in any browser and land in your lobby. When everyone is ready, the host starts the game and you all get the same word.
Is Wordle VS free?
Yes. Wordle VS is free to play in your browser with no download. You can play as a guest, or create a free account to save your wins and appear on the leaderboard.
How many people can play at once?
Each room holds 2 to 4 players. Play a 1v1 against one friend or a four-way free-for-all, or team up in co-op mode. Quick Match finds you a 1v1 opponent when your friends are busy.
Can I play Wordle VS on my own?
Yes. Practice mode from the menu lets you play alone with your own number of rounds and timer. Practice games don't count towards your stats or the leaderboard.
How do you win a game?
In free-for-all, the first player to solve the word wins the round, and the player who wins the most rounds wins the game. The host chooses 1 to 10 rounds and a time limit of 30 seconds to 5 minutes per word.
What happens if someone loses connection during a game?
The game waits for them. In a 1v1 the clock stops, and each player gets 1 minute 30 seconds of disconnected time per game to get back. If they don't make it, or they leave, they lose and the other player wins. In bigger rooms the game carries on, and a player who doesn't come back in time can't win it.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Wordle VS works on iPhone, Android, tablets and computers. You can also add it to your home screen to open it like an app.
Do I need an account?
No. Guests can create and join rooms right away. A free account keeps your stats across devices, unlocks your personal stats (win %, streaks, average guesses and your go-to opener) and lets you claim a spot on the leaderboard.
