The duel, against people
Victordle made Wordle a contest: two players, one secret word, and the better solver wins. Wordle VS keeps that and puts a real person across the board. You both guess the same word at the same time on your own boards, and the first to turn all five tiles green takes the round.
You can see how many guesses your opponent has used and how many letters they've found, but never their letters. When they're one guess from solving it, you'll feel it.
Ways to play
- Quick Match: a Wordle 1v1 against whoever is queuing: 3 rounds of 2 minutes, then Play again in one tap. When nobody is around, a computer opponent steps in after a short wait, from easy up to expert.
- Challenge a friend: make a room, send the link and play 2 player Wordle with 1 to 10 rounds and the timer you choose.
- Up to 4 players: a four-way competitive Wordle race, or co-op on one shared board.
- Warm up alone: Wordle practice with unlimited words, and a daily word with streaks.

Every player gets their own board and six guesses. The first to solve the word wins the round, and whoever wins the most rounds wins the game.

Is Wordle VS like Victordle?
Both are head-to-head Wordle: two players guess the same secret word and the better solver wins. In Wordle VS your opponent is usually another person, and you can also play friends, rooms of up to 4 and co-op games.
Is Wordle VS connected to Victordle?
No. Wordle VS is a separate game made by a different team. It is also not affiliated with The New York Times.
Can I still play against a computer?
Yes. When nobody else is looking for a Quick Match, a computer opponent (easy, medium, hard or expert) takes the seat after a short wait. You can also practice alone in Practice mode.
