Practice on your terms
- Tap Play as Guest, then Practice in the menu.
- Pick 1, 3 or 5 rounds and a timer of 1 to 3 minutes per word.
- Six guesses per word. Green is the right letter in the right spot, yellow is in the word somewhere else.
- When you're done, start another game straight away. Practice never touches your stats.
Why practice against the clock
The daily Wordle gives you all day. Racing someone else doesn't. Timed practice trains the part that wins head-to-head rounds: picking a strong opener, reading the colors fast, and choosing a second guess that rules out the most letters in seconds rather than minutes.
- Try a new opener for a few games and see how often it finds two or more letters.
- Drop to 1 minute once 3 feels easy. It's the closest thing to a real race.
- Play 5 rounds in a row to build the stamina for a long match.
When you're ready
Take it to a real opponent with a Wordle 1v1 in Quick Match, race friends in competitive Wordle, or keep a streak going with the daily word.

Can I practice Wordle as many times as I want?
Yes. Practice mode gives you a new word every round, as many games as you like. Nothing is recorded, so a bad round never touches your stats.
How do I start a practice game?
Tap Play as Guest (or sign in), then Practice in the menu. Pick 1, 3 or 5 rounds and a timer of 1 to 3 minutes per word.
Why practice with a timer?
Head-to-head games are races. Practicing against the clock trains you to find a good second guess quickly, which is what wins rounds against real opponents.
Is there a daily puzzle too?
Yes. The daily word is one puzzle a day, the same for everyone, with a streak and a spoiler-free result to share.
